neighbor's bermudagrass invasion!

I am curious about what is accepted here concerning lawns. We planted a fescue lawn and a year later, when neighbors moved in they removed the lawn the builder planted (fescue) and installed a hybrid bermuda sod. Now I have a bermuda/ fescue lawn and it looks terrible during the cold weather. It just seems to me that the right thing to do would be to put in some sort of barrier to prevent the spread of their b-grass, before they sodded. Am I expecting too much or is that just how it is? I am very respectful of others property, (don't discharge mower clippings on their side, careful about sprays and water, etc).
