Fall 2013 East Tennessee Plant Swap

The Fall 2013 East Tennessee Plant Swap will be held at New Harvest Park, 4775 New Harvest Lane, Knoxville, TN 37918 on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Setup will begin at 9:30am, swapping starts at 10:00am, and lunch will be at 11:30am or noon. Make plans now to come join the fun on swap day! As always, new gardeners are especially invited to attend. There are always plenty of plants in need of good homes, fellow friendly plant addicts excited about trading, and the best food around.

The ETPS is just two weeks away!!! It's not too late to post your haves/wants on the Exchange Forum of the swap's website (linked above).

We had a record turnout for a fall swap (which are always smaller than the spring swaps). Approximately 30 people attended the Fall 2013 ETPS. Part of the reason we had so many was because of AmyLynn's work on Facebook and other venues. She brought in a number of new swappers.

Earlier in the week, the weather people were calling for rain, but the rain held off and the weather was great. We also managed to have the swap at New Harvest Park, which most of us like much better than the other alternatives. With luck, we're gonna try to reserve it for the spring swap (but that's always a challenge).
