As far as the Witch Hazel is concerned...I think they bloom in winter after the leaves have dropped. I'm thinking you are probably wondering about the age they will start blooming? That will greatly depend on whether it was a seed grown plant or reproduced vegetatively. Vegetatively produced plants will bloom much earlier in life because they are already genetically mature. Also, lots of variation occurs between different cultivars. If you can determine exactly what you have, someone might be able to give you an answer. Also, if you can identify your tree (cultivar, seedling, etc), you might try posting your question in the Tree Forum.
