I has a sad....

Every year, I have to do a terrible thing. With frost predicted, I'm scrambling to get my Angel Trumpets winterized. And of course they are all in full glory. Quite the difference, isn't it?

On the upside, there will be plenty of cuttings at the plant swap!

What else do you do besides remove the foliage? You don't leave it outside do you?

Nope. I dig them up and put them in my basement.
Today is going to be a loooong day.

tngreen: btw, those pots I got do all appear to be nursery pots, but some are quite nice/high quality. I'll be bringing about half of them to the swap.

I live in Lewisburg as well. I tried leaving them in the ground one year and they bit the dust. I do leave my banana trees in the ground with much success. Go figure.

Joe, I tried the plant them in buckets and submerge the bucket in the ground thing. I needed a freakin backhoe to dig them out again. The roots blasted right through the bottom. lol

I brought mine in yesterday as well. I usually keep them in the garage, no basement here. Though I have one that I spent way too much $$ for that will be living in my daughters room for the winter......good thing she is away at school!!!
