Thanks to everyone who came out today for the Fall 2009 East Tennessee Plant Swap. As usual, we had a great time, plenty of interesting plants, and delicious food. The weather was perfect and the park was in great condition (no goose poop on the sidewalks this time). We had 24 people (not nearly as many as attend the Spring swap, but enough for a great swap) and quite a few new swappers. A few of our regulars had scheduling conflicts and couldn't come.

Glad to hear it Brandon. You sure had pretty weather for the day.

Special thanks to you, Cheryl, and Laura for putting this together. I had a great time - missed the regulars that were not able to be there, but enjoyed meeting some new folks and was finally able to be organized enough that I got to do some visiting. It's a great way to learn of other gardeners experiences - both good and bad! Thanks Brandon, Cheryl, and Laura!!!!!

Yep, it was another great swap! I actually had time to talk to folks yesterday - - something that is hard to do when there's a large crowd. Just a few things that stuck in my mind:

I'll add my thanks to Brandon, Cheryl, and Laura! And to Noel for the cookies & to Jim for the stew - they were delicious. And thanks to all the generous folks who kindly took away my offerings. I thought I was doing really well with that until I saw what I had accepted from everyone else. LOL Ah, but now I have new projects instead of the old ones! This was my first swap & everyone was so welcoming & friendly - it was really great. I'm looking forward to the spring swap already !
