Hey there. Was just wondering if the date for the spring Middle Tennessee swap has been set yet? I was just working on my calender and I didn't see a new date on the website yet.
(Yes, I know it's kinda pathetic that I actually start scheduling things that far in advance. LOL.)
We've always had it the Saturday before Memorial Day weekend. Memorial Day 2010 is May 31st so that would make the MTPS the fourth Saturday in May or the 22nd. But it ain't up to me! :-)
Rhonda, some folks like Robert and a few others don't have a computer so they always go under the assumption that it's the weekend before Memorial Day and the third Saturday in October. If they don't call and ask me ahead of time and then show up on the 22nd and we had it a week earlier.....
Gosh April I envy your scheduling skills! Jeff is right we have always had it the same time every year. The Sat before Memorial day has always been the official date. Perhaps my brain was froze this past swap. Anyhow, in fairness to all our swappers that do not have computer access lets just keep it that same date. We can have a vote in Spring if folks want the dates changed for future swaps. Make sure yall check your calenders well to be sure any proposed dates do not collide with other garden or grad happenings.
Perhaps at the spring 2010 swap we might discuss moving the spring 2011 swap a week or more earlier? It seems I always think it would be nice to have the cooler weather and more rain to get the plants comfy before summer.
