Brown spots on my gardenia leaves

I planted 3 gardenia bushes last summer and they have been doing fine. I noticed that one of them has some leaves with brown areas on them. It's on both new and old leaves, some have just a little while other leaves are nearly covered. My other 2 gardenias are fine. Is this something that is common during the winter or is there something I should do?

Thanks!

Take a look at the descriptions of various gardenia leaf spot diseases on the page linked below. Do any of these seem like what's wrong with your plant?

Are your gardenias growing outside? If so, what type of gardenias are they and how much winter protection do they have?

Here is a link that might be useful: U. of RI Gardenia Fact Sheet
