You're probably leaving most of the anti-oxidants and other nutrients in the strainer. Drink it all.

You could always save the pulp until you have enough for a nice bowl of tomato soup, or mash it up and make ketchup out of it, or add a can of chili beans for easy chili ( I add hamburger, chili powder, but no onions).

Well, you have both convinced me to not waste the pulp.

Some of it is so thick, and almost chunky, that it would ruin the pleasure of the drinking experience. I'll save (freeze) and stockpile a good bit and then turn it into chile...that's sure easy enough.

Paul, what would I need to do to make it tomato soup? Add some water, milk, or a combination of the two and seasonings of my choice?

Add it to a spaghetti sauce. In fact, you can use it as a spaghetti sauce - just heat it up with a bit of garlic powder (or mince up some garlic, cook lightly in a bit of olive oil, add pulp) then toss with hot pasta, add freshly grated cheese and you've got a great dish. I like whole wheat pasta for lotsa flavor.

That sounds quick, easy, and good too, and the whole wheat pasta would be some 'good' carbs. I really don't eat enough of them.
