| We had a number of storms fire up just to the west and really get severe over in Missouri and Illinois yesterday. We had 2 cells with rotation pass by on either side of us, there was some hail on either side, and some damage directly east, but just a half inch of rain and 2 tornado sirens here. There was, however serious damage just to the east in Missouri and I think some pretty bad stuff in Illinois. Lawrence had damage mostly in the KU campus area and North KC had some damage. Just checking on all my 'mater buddies. |
Follow-Up Postings:
|
| Lots of rain, golf ball sized hail, and wind but no significant damage in Liberty (northeast of Kansas City about 12 miles). We had more tornado touch downs in one day then we usually have during the entire tornado season. Maybe the rest of the year will be better. |
