| This afternoon we got 2.75 inches in just over an hour; quite a bit of it horizontal rain. When I got home, I had to dig a trench to get my maters out from under water. A river ran over my radishes and my taters were in a lake. My beautiful stand of lettuce was flat as a pancake. My hanging basket of petunias was masquerading as lilly pads. 2 weeks ago we were 7 inches behind in rain for the year. Now we're even to maybe even up a little. Got more coming the first of the week. At least we have lots of moisture now and the stock ponds are full again. Should be no problem raising something now. |
