| I just moved to south east texas in april. It wwas the middle of april before I got a garden in and too late to plant tomatoes. I was wondering if anyone know the right time to plant a fall garden in this area. I live about 40 miles east of Waco. I planted popcorn, watermelons, cucumbers, and cantalope and they all are doing fantastic.I have a rich black sandy soil and it seems to be perfect for melons. I was wondering if anyone knew what other kind of vegetables it is good for. |

| If you want to you have time to plant tomato plants supposedly. Look up East TX gardening and they have a vegetable planting dates for our area, that's what I'm going by. You can still plant summer squash I know, since I had to replant that. Ugh. You can also plant bush beans. I just started all my cabbage and broccoli seedlings this week. Good Luck! |
