advice on tomatoes for a rookie in North Texas

This is my second year growing tomatoes. Last year was decent. This year my tomato plants are big and just now starting to flower but not producing any tomatoes. How long do I have left to grow tomatoes before it gets to hot? I have 3 tomato plants and one container tomato plant. The only one that has produced is the container(5 so far). I read on here about the guy who made the vibrating flashlight gizmo. Should I pollunate the flowers myself? if so how? Last year I had a hummingbird feeder near the tomato plants that attracted some bees. do you guys think the bees pollunated my plants?
Next year I will try the pvc cage like one of you have. Looks great.
Sorry I just feel so defeated and have so many questions. I want my tomatoes like last year. my pico de gallo doesn't compare to last summer. :(

I appreciate any input or suggestions and thank you so much for your patience.
