Long-lived tomatoes

This is for those of you in the Deep South. With your extended growing season, just how long can you get a tomato plant to produce? Here in southern zone 6, I've had them produce from early July into late October if conditions are right. This year, they burned up in late August. Just curious, I'm not planning on moving anywhere just to get more maters.

Mike, just curious, but why is this post here when you'd probably get more input and discussion if posted in the main tomato Forum?

Actually, I thought I was on the regular forum. That's what I get for thinking. I'll move it, if I can remember to do it. Thanks Carolyn.
