That BBQ Univ. is a good program. I like a lot of heat for cooking steaks and very low heat for just about everything else, so it is hard to come up with one recommendation.

My friends all have the high end Weber units and all swear by then.

Barb, I have a stainless steel gas grill. It is now about 3 years old. Got it at Lowes for about $500.00

It is very nice..has the cast-iron grills and separate cast iron griddle.

But this fall I bought a Traeger (google it) grill that runs on wood pellets. Since then the gas grill has sat unattended LOL. The Traeger smokes/barbeques/bakes and grills. The neat thing about it is you can run it all night if you want to smoke a brisket or whatever and don't need to attend to it at all. Wood smoke cooking is just unbelievable in the taste department. It might not be what you are looking for, but worth taking a look at. I swear by it and have even considered becoming a local dealer I like it so much.
