Cherry Tomato

I have a number of cherry tomato plants in containers. A couple of days back the main branches of one of them bent as if falling and breaking. Since they are resting on raised bricks they did not break perhaps. I have marked in black the bent in the first picture. The second picture is that of another cherry tomato which is standing upright and this bent one was similar to the second one two days back.

Has this happened because of weight of the branches? Or is it something else?

Just to let you know that all my tomato plants have been infested with a little bit of flying aphids and which I am treating with neem oil.

Here is a link that might be useful: Pictures

RE: Cherry Tomato

Weight of the branches. Why haven't they been tied up to the stake in the box? Branches will often bend and even break just from the weight of the top growth alone without sufficient supports. And many cherry plants get huge and require multiple supports.

Now you know to support them, but it looks like you have tomatoes. Good luck. There are small varieties meant for pots but you probably have to support those also. Tomatoes are rather brittle and it is not unusual for them to bend or break.
