I have my tomato seedlings growing in 16 oz plastic cups. Right now the roots are growing out through the drain holes. Should I trim these roots? The tomato seedlings are about 3 or 4 inches in height right now and I started them from seed in the third week of January.

You can, it won't hurt them. When I have 2 or more in the same small pot, some roots are always torn when I separate them during repotting. They recover pretty fast.

Thanks. I'll trim the roots.
