| I live in NY, zone 6A, we have four cloudy days forecasted followed by two rainy days. Will plants harden off if taken out with those weather conditions? |

| Yes they will but just like people they can also still get sun burned/scorched and wind burn. Even on very cloudy days much more UV penetrates than they are used to so they need to be sheltered and closely monitored. Dave |

| If I had my choice I always move plants out on cloudy or rainy days. The transition is much easier to handle; no need for shade cloth or constant monitoring of plant condition. Granted that those days are involved in the hardening-off process but the less abrupt of a change you can make for this process the better your plants will respond. |
