planting in the same spot

I know that it is preferable to move the place you plant your tomatoes each year, but I really only have one spot that will work. I do have a good supply of compost built up. If I put a lot of compost in that bed, will I be able to continue planting there?

Yep, not a problem. Been doing that myself for years.

This is a common question and there are many discussions here about crop rotation the search will pull up. Many home gardeners simply do not have the space to do it so instead they focus on keeping their soil healthy with regular additions of lots of high quality compost.

If you can rotate, great, but when it isn't possible keep the soil well amended so the beneficial bacteria in compost can help control any soil issues.

Thank you so much for the help. I will dig in the compost,

I don't have much rotation space either. From what I've read, good healthy compost is the best remedy. I add a few inches each year, fork it gently and let it fall in the holes (because I think there are benefits of not disturbing the soil TOO much each year).
