Nipping flowers question

Planted some nursery starts of Celebrity a couple weeks ago and they're about 6 inches high now.

In years past with my indeterminates, I would just let any early flowers go. But I guess Celebrity is a semi-determinate. Should I clip these early flowers to encourage more growth at this point?

Thanks.

Kevin

I would but it is really your choice. Some do, some don't. IMO they likely won't set fruit anyway given the size of the plant.

I also think that plants that size will abort those buds. I also bought a nursery Mortgage lifter about the same size, with few buds on it. But I nipped then anyway.Another of my own grown seedling, a SUNGOLD, has also buds. I let'em to be to see what will happen. It is already planted out.

I would take off all buds and blossoms when planting out my seedlings and planted out 6 to 9 inch seedlings.

I think it's a good thing to do since it gives time for vegetative growth of roots and stems and foliage, all energy being directed that way, before allowing them to go into the sexual cycle of blossom formation and fruit set.

The blossom cycle is abut two weeks long, so soon it starts again, randomly on each plant, and of course those I let go on to fruit formation.
