4 of my tomato seedlings are big & green but the rest are weak looking and the leaves are turning yellow. they were all planted indoors about 5 weeks ago and have been treated w/the same light conditions & outdoor time etc. what does it mean when the leaves yellow? is there any hope for me transplanting those to the garden?

RE: tomato seedling leaves turning yellow...why?

95% of the time yellowing of leaves on seedlings is due to over-watering. Cut your watering in half. You can transplant them into new, bigger containers with a mild fertilizer charge in the new mix if you can't plant them in the garden now. The yellow leaves will die and fall off but the new growth should be ok.
