First Toms of 2013

We ate our first few tomatoes today, month a half earlier than usual. A visitor from Russia brought a few packets of tomato seeds grown in the Ural mountains of that country. 'cause it's much cooler over there I decided to plant them earlier than I usually plant tomatoes. So I planted seeds on Dec. 16 and transplanted them outside on Feb 10. Seedlings survived the temperatures in low 30(few nights) and the bushes of all varieties now are totally loaded. Tomatoes so far are ripe on one bush only - Sopernik(Competitor), but the rest of the varieties are no more than 5-10 days away from being ripe. and this Sopernik tastes great too.

The strange thing is that one of the tomatoes on the bush is elongated while the rest are perfect globes. it's very weird, Is it because it's Russian or what. any ideas, explanations?
