whiteish/brown leaves on new tomato plants

We planted organic beefsteak tomatoes as seeds and transferred them once to peat moss pots and have since planted them into our raised beds. We planted them a few days ago and they all have discolored leaves. Some are smaller plants than the one picture but the leaves are discolored at least a little on all. Please help! What is causing this??

That looks like sunscald.

Did you harden them off before planting?

They will probably be fine, but if you could rig up some shade for them (if they are in blazing sun) it would help them. Just placing tall pots to cast shadows during the hottest part of the day would help.

I'm not sure that we hardened them off enough or correctly I guess. We will try to shade them, thank you Linda!

I am suspicious of that stuff on top. How thick is it ? And what kind of soil you have underneath ? I think your plant needs a boost.

Definitely sunscald, the other leaves are a good color but that mulch looks very chunky, and make sure it's not right against the stem(s).

The mulch is pretry chunky.we have manure on the bottom, then soil and mulch.
