orange oxheart

I picked up an orange oxheart plant at the farmer's market this past weekend, while searching for some cherokee purples, brandywines, and sungold plants... no luck on any that I was actually looking for. I have the option to plant the orange oxheart in the ground-- but I have to share the space with the brandywines and cherokee purples if I do find them (I'm sure I'll find a brandywine--not sure about the cherokee)...If the oxheart will do okay in a 5 gallon container, I'd prefer to plant it there, so that I can have space in the ground for another brandywine or a mortgage lifter or something (I have space for 3 plants in ground). Just not sure if it will do well in a container...

I haven't grown it, but I found one website that says it's a large plant. I'm not allowed to link to the website, apparently because it's a business and I will be banned if I mention it.
It's indeterminate with a long growing season and large fruits, so that also suggests it gets pretty big.

pear, seeing your question forced me to register. I've grown them for years. It should be planted in your best ground because you will love it. It's a big plant with big tomatoes. Most of mine will be at least 4 inches in dia. and 5 inches tall with a point on the bottom. the bottom portion is all meat with no seeds. The taste is wonderful, that oldtime tomato taste. I prune to 4-5 stems and pinch the tops off in early September. If you put it in a container, it probably needs to be bigger.
