Need Fall Crop Help, Please ....

The good news is that the average first frost around here comes mid-November. The other news is that temperatures average 81F during July and August, with an average of 17 days in July above 90F and 15 more during August. Humidity is near smothering.

Best I can tell I need to transplant well-rooted cuttings in the middle of July to have tomatoes ripening around the beginning of October....Last year I started later and my plants struggled through and produced some, but not as many as I would like!!

Would really like to get some tips for helping my plants get through the heat better this year....they'll be in shaded containers and are varieties I'm trying for the first year that I understand do better in the heat(Creole, Sioux, Arkansas Traveler, Tropic and Sun Gold)...Thanks.
