Newbie question: what do you think about Clamp-it?

Hi... for the past 2 years I have been using this tomato cage:
http://www.amazon.com/Gardeners-Blue-Ribbon-TMC60-Ultomato/dp/B000RUM0R4

it works for me and I like that I can adjust it to the size I need.

I've never "staked" a tomato though and found this:

any opinions on the clamp it? I have a 20% off coupon to my local garden center which sells it so I thought I'd give it a try.

The only way it could work is if you pruned the plant to a single stem. So why sacrifice all that tomato production just to use this particular staking system?

Makes sense... thanks.... I ended up getting some gurney's tom cages 50% off with a coupon.
