My seedlings are in 4" pots and plant out date here is end of May, June 1st. Some of my seedlings are now about 8" high - the brandy wine yellow and otv and brandy boy seedlings in particular have taken off. I realize I probably should have started sowing one week later. I sowed seeds on March 23, because last year I had problems with germination. In any event, after reading several posts, I am thinking that I should pot up - I have some red dixie cups - 16 oz. Should I transplant into those? It will allow me to plant them deeper, without being that much bigger. Space is an issue and they will fit nicely into the trays without taking more space. Thanks, Sharon

Yes, they likely can't go another month in 4" pots. Maybe a couple week later next year. :) Dave

Definitely, YES, I would say. And if you have space pot them like in 6" round or equivalent square pots. This way they will develop good root system before going into their final destination.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I'm going to go with the 16 oz. dixie cups. Space is an issue. Lesson learned for next year. It's a process. :)
