This is a patio tomato I planted mostly in composted manure and a little soil. I am concerned about the leaves at the bottom which looks darker/black in color. Is this a problem? It has been raining quite a bit the last 3 days and temperatures have fallen to 45 the last couple of nights. Thanks,

This is a celebrity tomato. It looked good last sunday. But today it looked unhappy. Again the same weather conditions as above. Is this plant going to be ok? Thanks.

Well, we don't know your growing conditions in full: 1- has it been fairy cool? especially at nights ? 3- where are you gardening ? state, zone number ? But aside from your concern, based on the first picture, it looks pretty fine. The lower leaves are dark and new upper oned are light and pale. That maybe tells me cool temperatures and not much sun ?

Looks like they have wet feet. I have yet to put out my seedlings as our weather conditions have been rain, rain and more rain. Hopefully plant out will be next week.

Thanks both of you. Sorry about the zone, I am in 5b. I too was thinking it might be a combination of too much rain and low temperatures. Do you think the second plant will survive? When the sun is out, they get full sun.

The first plant looks ok. Suggest no nitrogen for a while. The second one looks sicker. It could maybe use a little food. The weather has been crazy in the midwest and NE this year. Hopefully they will both take off when the weather settles.
