Growing Tomatoes

hmmTomato leaves look horrible, take a look

So, new gardener here... I planted 5 tomato plants, different varieties about 1 month ago. I added compost to the soil. In this past month we have had 2 weeks of sun and 2 weeks of rain or clouds. Last week I noticed that the bottom leaves are turning yellow and some have brown spots. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks in advance!

Could be the 2 weeks of rain. The growth on top looks ok. They will probably improve if it doesn't keep raining. We're getting our share here too. 2.4 inches yesterday.

Hi,

Agree with edweather, this plant shows lack of air to the roots.

A drowning effect from too much water, or a combination of lack of drain holes, compacted soil, heavy soil, etc. where the roots are in an aerobic environment.
