First year rookie growing tomatillo's and i am unsure about what that bulb like leaf thing is on my plant.

You know how tomatillos have a papery husk around them? That's what you're seeing here. Salsa verde coming soon...yum!

Thank you Jadie! That is exactly what I am trying to make and some regular salsa with roma tomatoes. My herbs are doing great and as of right now no aphids or Japanese beetles (crossing my fingers)

Just to let you know, the husk develops first and is empty. Then the fruit grows inside the husk until it fills the husk.

Thanks Jim! Another question, once the husk is full are they ready to be harvested? Or, do I have to wait a little bit longer to harvest them?
