Organic tomato fertilizer

Bought it through Garden's Alive and it had a horrible smell. I used it the other day on all my tomato and peppers plants and what a mistake!!!! It might help the tomatoes but it won't do a thing if the dogs keep digging them up.

There is something in there that is very attractive to the dogs and cats and since they are outdoors most of the day time, it is impossible for me to constantly watch them.

I was thrilled at how the tomatoes were growing this year since we had no crop last year (drought and heat). Should never have fertilized them.

RE: Organic tomato fertilizer

Don't know which one you bought but all granular organic fertilizers contain ingredients that will be attractive to animals. That is the nature of the ingredients in organic fertilizers and plants need feeding/fertilizing.

The problem is that the dogs have access to the garden, not the fertilizer.
