It looks like bug bites. I have the same markings on mine. I am fighting a squash bug infestation. Any body know of a very good solution short of a tactical nuke?

Stink bug damage.

Agree with missing. It is called Cloudy Spot from stink bug damage. Just type 'stink bug control' into the search bar here for all sorts of info. My particular preference is a product called Surround.

I agree with the stink bug damage. With that amount of biting, the bugs should be visible, and fairly easy to remove by hand.

Thanks everyone, I have not seen any bugs on it but I will keep and eye out for one now. Thanks again.

If it was indeed caused by stink bugs, you should've seen a herd of them all over.
