| I am growing Big Boy Indeterminates in "Dutch Buckets" as single stem by cutting the suckers but as I cut the suckers a new leaf arm forms at the end of the stem where the flowers are, is this normal and should I cut them off or let them gol |

| Normal response of many varieties to the stress of aggressive pruning. It needs the extra leaves for photosynthesis and energy so when you prune so aggressively it makes more leaves, grows taller and creates new branches. Just leave them alone. Dave |

| Instead of removing the branch/sucker from the plant, you can disable its growth end, leaving the leaves intact for photosynthesis. I do this when the sucker is over grown. |
