Normal for the newest growth.

As Jean already stated, that's completely normal for new growth.. They will darken up with some age.
Btw that plant looks very happy and healthy to me.. You're doing great for a newbie =)

Just out of curiosity, what's your feeding regimen? Are you using organic or synthetic fertilizers, etc?

I currently do not having a feeding regimen. This all started on a whim planted a couple of packs of seeds. Gave away the other 200 tomato plants that came up, true story! I didn't think they would all germinate and live. I also did 4 different types of peppers and will have a better plan next year. I only had room for about 14 tomato plants. When I removed the grass from my yard, I put MG top soil as it was on sale at HD. Then a couple of bags of manure.

Would have loved to gone organic but already started with the MG top soil. I have a 10-10-10 fertilizer, not sure when to start it.

I also feel I may have a problem due to my sprinklers. They do water from above and I am hoping it wont affect the plants as the leaves do get all wet. The watering is done at 5am.

Is it too late to go organic? Should I start feeding now?

My advice: Keep it simple. Don't do a lot of things which are unnecessary.
