Help Identify this tomato?

Posted by HarrisonF 6a (My Page) on

I got this tomato plant from a friend and they said it is at full height, it is already fruiting. The plant is about 4-6 inches high and probably 4 inches around. The tomatos are about around as a quarter...maybe even a nickel. The fruit has a very strong flavor. Any help with identifying this plant would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!! (I know it's not in the best shape, it was used by my friend to see how it reacts to constant flooding)

It's called a micro tomato, but I have no idea what variety it would be.

We get lots of requests to ID one from a pic of the plant or the fruit and unfortunately it is impossible to do even if we had the plant in hand. There are simply too many possibilities.

As Linda said it is one of the many micro/dwarf varieties.with regular shaped leaves and probably cherry-sized fruit. That narrows it down to maybe 75 or so possibilities. Sorry.

Last year I grew some exact same size but with red fruits. It is called "Sweet N Neath". I think it has yellow ones too.

Google it !

Don't we all! But the "neath" puzzled me, so I thought it might puzzle the OP as well.

Yeah, "Neath" can be small and hiding ..could be very very small. hehe

Hm that does sound like a good guess, I feel like my plant is extradinarily small (4 inches at most) and the sweet n neat seem to be around a foot tall with the tomatos being much bigger than the ones I'm getting from this little guy. Maybe he will stay a mystery for forever, I am trying to grow the seeds I got from one his tomatoes so maybe that will grow to full height? Hm so many possibilities!! Thanks everyone!
