Jennie, there are few varieties I can tell from just looking at pictures.

What I can tell you is that Black Pearl is an F1 hybrid offered by Burpee and is a take off on Black Cherry, but is smaller than Black Cherry, an OP bred by Vince Sapp, and most who have grown both prefer the taste of Black Cherry.

At this point the only way I can suggest, which isn't worth it, is to save seeds from the fruits, the F2 seeds, sow them again next year, put out as many plants as you can and if the fruits and plants are all identical it would be Black Cherry.

And if Black pearl there would be differences in plants and fruits due to what's called Genetic segregation.

I don't know how much that helps, but it's the best I can do right now.

Thank you for the quick reply. One thing I neglected to mention is that I planted both Black Cherry and Black Pearl. I'm trying to figure out which one this is. Whatever it is, it is very sweet - LOVE IT!

IMO they don't look quite like my Black Cherries from TGS. I'm sure there are varying conditions that affect growth, but just thought I'd offer my opinion. My BCs are a bit larger, and more blackish/purple.
