I got scared when I saw the change. I would love for them to dry out as I checked the weather and another 1-2 inches of rain tomorrow.

Yeah, we're supposed to get 3" here and more on Friday (with wind gusts up to 49mph).

Don't be surprised if those leaves turn leathery and dry - it's still too much water, don't water the plant.

Yeah nasty stuff heading our way. And now I think I made the decision to move them under my upper deck, I got 4 in fabric containers. The only bad thing is that I can't get out my back door easily because it is not a large area but "I'll do it for the maters" I pray for my in-ground ones.

I guess on the bright side if anything happens, I have ready back ups and another round of fresh backups that should be ready in late june to be planted if all else fails.

Hi Mr. Beno, Growing some in containers was an excellent decision this year. They will do fine......almost impossible to overwater, and they will keep draining well with only minimal problems.

I have found out(could be wrong) that curling leave is due to cool temperatures. It is a way to minimize surface exposure to cold: less exposure = less heat loss. I cannot understand why a leaf would curl because of too much water?!
