Can I Slow Tomatillo Flowering?

sluciddesign

I grew tomatillo plants from seeds this year. However after transplanting outside only one of my plants survived. I bought two extra plants to cross pollinate but couldn't find anything that was as mature as the plant I grew. The original plant has about 20 buds that are about to flower and the two new ones look like they might be lucky to have a flower or two in the near future. My question is will my big plant hold tight until the babys catchup to cross pollinate or should I try and slow it down by breaking off the buds?
