I just checked my early girls and I have two that are almost ripe. One is actually ripe enough for me. This heat must have sped things up, they were barely pink yesterday. I am going to pick up some fresh bread this afternoon and pick it! Mater Sammich! I will take pics.

Wow they look so good. Mine are still a few weeks away in the greenhouse!
My early girl, it was so good!

The tomato
The early girl I planted a month earlier and coddled through cool nights
It is much bigger but it didn't give me the first ripe tom! |

My first of the year was a cherry, too - a couple of Sweet Millions that just barely made it to the house to be rinsed before eating! that was the first of the ripe toms - I've already made several batches of fried green toms (a true southern delicacy that I look forward to almost as much as the first ripe toms) from the bigger varieties. How sweet those tart fruits of our labor are, aren't they?!

Congrats! I'm nearly there. I check it almost as much as check for the location status of my packages when I order online.
