I don't see a problem. MAYBE they are getting too much water and need some feeding. Excess water will leach out the nutrients, Nitrogen in particular. I would go half strength.

I had a tomato that exhibited the same symptoms shown in the picture (little growth, some yellowing of the leaves). I'm almost positive it was because the soil was too compacted for the little plant to expand and grow bigger. It did eventually grow into quite a large plant, but not soon enough for it to bear fruit before the season was over.

It's hard to tell by your pics, but I get the feeling that soil is not loose and fluffy. It could be preventing the roots from growing. That's just my guess, though.

sorry for the fuzzy pics, i'll retake them later. and plants are getting plenty of water and sun. Now I have 4 plants that look like that, and 2 others I got afterwards that look fine and growing like they should. The first 4 were Bonnie's plants from Home Depot, other 2 came from Burpee.

They look a bit under fed, and over watered, but hard to tell from the photos.

Just curious, did you remove the peat pot before planting?

I planted plants about that size exactly 4 weeks ago. Mine are now about 3 feet tall. Have you fertilized at all? I'll also echo Ed's question, did you leave those peat pots on the Bonnie plants?
