Looks very nice. How is it supported ? Also, any fruits yet ?

We mix up a nutrient blend for our potted plants. We've been using Dyna-grow ProTect (4 mL per gallon of water) and Dyna-grow "grow" liquid plant food. In the beginning we started with 8 mL (to avoid getting chemical burns we started low, and we didn't start feeding the plant until it was about 6in tall), and have gradually increased to 15 mL per gallon of water. We feed the nutrient blend every other time we water.

We've got quite a few fruits on their already, most of them about the size of the attached picture. Black Sea Man is the only determinate we're growing this year, and was the first to fruit.

Sounds like you found the 'sweet spot' as my mentor would say. Not sure how it's supported, but that might become an issue. Looks like you could tie some stakes to the railing posts and tie it off that way.

We just have a standard tomato cage on it for support, and ended up tying that to the railing on our deck when it got too heavy and started to lean over.

Finally got our first ripe Black Sea man tomato :)

How do you like the taste?

I grew BSM one time and I didn't like the taste. Some of my co-workers liked them, the organic/vegetarians. ;)

Then later, after growing black cherry, Cherokee purple, ETC. I found that I don't like any of the dark colored toms.

I only like pink, red, and green! But taste buds are different!
