I don't think Indigo Rose is pear shaped. I know another variety (JBT) that is somewhat pear shape.

As I said before ,the one int the picture most probably is NOT Indigo Rose.
--IR has round and darker color fruits.
-- IR has RL. But the one in the picture looks more like JBT, with PL. I know this; I had a JBT last year and I am growing couple of then this season

Anyway, I am growing one IR right now. I bought the plant ( Bonni grown).
I am surprised that in addition to being loaded w/. buds & flowers, it has several fruits, the biggest one is small cherry size.

I will take picture and report on it.

I bought an Indigo Rose but gave it to my neighbor, because she loves black flowers, etc. Anyway, I gave it a headstart in my back porch and then passed it on to her with fruit already set. For some reason it hasn't grown very big but it is fruiting prolifically:

That is nice, Jenn.
Mine is also small , about 24" tall.
It has 4 trusses and the lowest one is fruiting. I am growing it for its color. The taste is not an issue.

Yes, I will be curious to taste one, when they are FINALLY ripe. I hear they take a long time. My neighbor keeps wondering when they will be ready! I keep telling her, maybe last week of July!
