1 stunted tomato, others are fine

I am a new gardener. I planted 5 tomato plants of different indeterminate varieties. I was very impressed to see that four of the 5 have grown rapidly over the past three weeks. However one, the Porter Improved, has barely grown. It had some yellow leaves last week. I fertilized last week as well, using Miracle Gro Organic Choice All Purpose Vegetable food, and the yellow appears to be gone today. Can anyone think of a reason why one plant out of the five is doing so much worse? They are all in the same vegetable bed, same amount of water etc. Thanks for the help.

The clue is in your question. You planted different varieties, and different varieties grow at different rates and have a preference for different climates. The Porter is supposed to grow well in hotter weather. That could be the reason why you are seeing different results.

Good idea! Maybe it will perk up when the weather heats up a bit more.

You have two posts with the exact same question. So people are answering here without seeing the photos on the other post. I would let this one go and just refer people to your other post on this forum.
