Tomato plant leaf curl

I have 5 tomato plants in 15 gallon containers. They have been doing pretty well. They are filling out and all have blossoms turning to fruit.
We've had some warm weather the last few days (I live in the Bay Area) but I held off on watering because the soil seemed moist down in the container, and the plants looked happy.
I decided to fertilize when I watered tonight (a granular organic fert). I notice after watering that the leaves curled in from the sides. Should I be worried?
Might this be from getting cold water after a hot day? Or getting fertilizer when the plants might not have needed it? Do they just do this at night?
My plants were looking so good, I hope I didn't just mess them up...Any advice welcome, thanks!
