My tomato jungle

I know, my spacing is not optimal and too close, but I had to work with the space I had.

The super sweet 100s are starting to trickle in. I think in a few weeks I'm going to be drowning in cherry tomatoes.

Got a few nice looking brandywines. Can't wait for them to ripen so I can try them out.

Big Beef, also covered in fruit

The early girl's hiding a lot of her fruit, but got several toms from her already.

That looks GREAT and I love the cement block Basil holders which act as an edging and keep the weeds down!

Lucky you to have some red ones. Mine are all green.

It looks great! Is your bed 4'x4' or 4'x2'? My husband were just at Home Depot and I was pointing out the cement blocks and describing to him how I wanted to use them to make a new garden bed. And here I get home and you posted this picture. Thanks for making it easy to show him exactly what I was talking about. :)

Thanks :)

I love the cinderblocks for raised beds. They were easy to put together and have worked great. I used the holes for various herbs, some onions, and flowers.

Kathy, the tomato bed is ~2' by 5'.

Here's another cinderblock bed, this one's being used for eggplants and peppers.

And this one I built in the alley on a little strip we had in front of the hedge. It used to be all weeds there, so I put it to good use for root veggies.
