independence day tomatoes not ripening

It is already one week after the expected start of ripening for this variety and yet I see no sign of ripening.

I started from seed indoors and transplanted May 15. They should have started to mature by July 3 which is 49 days from transplant.

All of the various tomato plants in my raised beds and containers are healthy and thriving.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I am in the same area as you or at least within 50 miles probably and planted my 4th out May 16th. So idealy same conditions other then I used 20 Gallon fabric bags for 1 plant and the other is in ground. The inground one seems about 2 weeks behind and not as many (Both plants are around the same height now). The one in the bags has about 20 ready to ripen and one that almost fully ripened yesterday (it still is a bit orange in photo from yesterday but red this morning). My guess is the rain that we had.

Also to note my seeds were from seedsdirect not Burbee, but labled "4th of July Hybrid with 49 days." I say hang in there they will come through.

Hope this helps
- Mr Beno

Edit: PS I pulled the tomato off when it blushed about 3 days ago and put it on my windowsill.

Here are some pics from today. To the right of the IDH is a Black Zebra and then a Black Krim. The IDH is nearly twice as tall, and is half as bushy.

I'm guessing we bought the same packet and it was mislabeled. At least you've got fruit! My blossoms haven't even opened (saw the first buds a week ago). Please join the discussion on the other thread and keep us posted on the progress!

Sure doesn't look like a determinate to me (what my packet read, I'm assuming you got the same packaging since you say it's hybrid 49 DTM)!
