Growing Tomatoes

Pollen Collection

Pollen in my garden has been sparse this year. I have been collecting it on a piece of sunglass using a vibrating toothbrush. Also I have been taking the anther from a blossom shedding pollen and rubbing that on a female I want to pollinate, might be trying to make a cross with. Any helpful ideas or ones that might work better than the above?
