| Pollen in my garden has been sparse this year. I have been collecting it on a piece of sunglass using a vibrating toothbrush. Also I have been taking the anther from a blossom shedding pollen and rubbing that on a female I want to pollinate, might be trying to make a cross with. Any helpful ideas or ones that might work better than the above? |

| See the more detailed info about how and when to collect pollen in the link below.Click on CULTURE first to find that info. Keith also discusses genetic segregation and how long it takes to stabilize selections. The website is a wealth of information, so look around and you'll see many links, and much more information. Carolyn ,just noting that Keith is not an amateur and has bred several well known varieties, and those are pictured there with the parental inputs and he also shows what he's working on now |
Here is a link that might be useful: Making crosses
