lower branches wilting green

Hello,

I asked on the disease forum as well, but it appears to have low traffic.

I have a bunch of tomatoes that grew overly vigorously. Now, they have a bunch of lower branches suddenly wilting green as if they don't have water -- about 35% defoliation over a week. I see a little bit of early blight sitting around. I Also see a few small black spots and smudges along the stems of all plants. And, I see a little bit of white mold growing on top of the soil.

The weather has been low 80s in the day, with heavy marine layer in the morning. 60% humidity generally.

Theories on this? Note that the plants have been healthy for about 2 months, and I added a few flowers to the bed 3 weeks ago -- wondering if I contaminated the bed with something when I did that. The flowers are very different types of plants from the tomato.
