| I have 4 tomato plants. There is only a small portion of one plant or 2 having the curling up leaves, and some of them are dried up. If it is caused by magnesium deficiency, wouldn't all the tomato plants are having curling up leaves? Please advice, and what is the possible cause of this curling up problem and drying up leaves? Thanks

| Unusual example of curled leaves. Doesn't look like physiological leaf curl. Any chance of herbicide anywhere nearby? |
|
| Nothing to do with magnesium deficiency. Mg def is interveinal chlorosis. Curling and Mg aren't related. Many things can cause leaves to curl/roll. As Jean said herbicide use is a common one - especially if it is primarily on new top growth. Any sign of pests - esp. aphids? Is it only this one plant? Dave |

| did not notice any aphids, but I picked up a couple of fat hornworms. However, hornworms usually just chew the leaves and new tender branches away..???? I don't use any pesticide at all. I am not aware of neighbors using it either, and they are far away |

| Pesticides wasn't the question and isn't the issue. Herbicides is. Weed killers?. Dave PS: hornworms will also eat into fruit. |
