Big Boy vs Beefmaster

It is always hard to make comparisons when EVERYTHING is not exactly the same....However, despite a few minor differences in growing medium, etc....I will pass judgement (with some reservations). My Beefmaster is in a marginal sun area, and it has done remarkably better than the Big Boy in 9 hrs sun. I can't speak of fruit quality yet because my first Beef is on the counter. But, the Big Boy turned out to be a stressed-out diseased train wreck. I noticed it does not have the genetic resistance that the Beefmaster has.

As you said, its an apples vs. oranges comparison in many ways and likely others have had the opposite results. But whatever works for you is what counts. Personally I take a pass on both varieties.
